Jenny is an experienced grants and awards consultant. Since founding Successful Grants in 2010, she has helped Australian businesses and organisations secure millions of dollars in funding - $19.9 million in FY26 alone - and build credibility by winning business awards at state and national level.

Grant writing is Jenny’s second career. After 30 years as a sports and paediatric physiotherapist, including three clinics of her own and roles on national sport and physiotherapy boards, she wrote her first grants as a volunteer for Mooloolaba Outrigger Canoe Club in 2008. Demand grew quickly, and within five years grants had become her full-time work.

Jenny is known for her calm, intelligent and no-nonsense approach. She builds a detailed picture of the who, what and why of your project, aligns it with what the funder is looking for, and makes every word count - a story that packs a punch and gives you the best chance of success. She is also the second reviewer on every application the team prepares.

Today Successful Grants is a team of 8 consultants working with clients across Australia, from manufacturing, food and agribusiness, tourism and innovation to sport and community.

Personally

Jenny is a board member of Generation Innovation and the SQ Zone of the Australian Outrigger Canoe Racing Association, and a former board member of Sunshine Coast Sports. Outside work, she enjoys hiking and camping with her family and crossing oceans with her women’s outrigger canoe team.
